Starry, Starry Night

I saw an old 1890’s photograph of a woman with the caption “Prostitute” in a similar pose. I said to myself, “There is more to that woman than that label.

I want my image to convey that she’s world weary, tough and yet, still nurtures a hint of compassion and possibly the hope of future happiness. You decide if I have reached that goal.
