The Frogs Desire a King

Unlike many contemporary and past artists I don’t often incorporate my political position and beliefs into my art but, when Donald Trump was going after the Republican nomination for president in 2015, I made this drypoint (etching) because I could anticipate the consequences if he should win the nomination and worse if he won the election. This Aesop fable about frogs who wanted a king and finally got one. The stork king ate them. That future is here.
