Faded Beauty

I picked this piece to follow Solitary Cabin to show the contrast of “old” in the west and “old” in Europe. Of course it is also rural vs. city. When I was in Granada, Spain, in the late 1980’, there were a number of old buildings in the city center that needed renovation, but still had an elegance. Some of these had cloth covering them to protect people below. That inspired my layered pieces, which unfortunately don’t photograph well.
